Reg Mombassa and Peter O’Doherty took to the stage at The Stag and Hunter Hotel over the weekend for a sold-out show with their band Dog Trumpet.
The band performed two sets filled with cuts from their current album Shadowland and impressive back catalogue.
New songs Nina Simone, Shadowland, Fucking Idiots and the Ballad of Clayton Looby were interspersed with older wondrous tunes such as Anti Social Tendencies, Buttons Undone, Shadow, Mr Alcohol & Mrs Marijuana, Great South Road, I’m so Handsome and a couple of fabulous covers On the Mighty Ocean Alcohol, Crazy Mama by J J Cale and Woody Guthrie’s California Stars.
