GALLERY: Brian Cadd at Lizotte’s

Our photo gallery from Lizotte’s lazy Sunday lunch with Brian Cadd… Well maybe not so lazy.

This sold out show was nothing short of sensational, Newcastle’s Marissa Saroca kicked the afternoon off with a perfect lunch time set.

After lunch was the main event with Aussie music legend Brian Cadd hitting the stage to rapturous applause, age has not wearied this iconic showman. With his voice on key, a presence and energy on stage that took you back decades.

Brian rolled through hit after hit, with classics like ‘Ginger Man’, ‘Arkansas Grass’ and ‘A Little Ray Of Sunshine’ just to name a few with most receiving standing ovations. By the end of the set there wasn’t a bum on seat, with the big crowd dancing the afternoon to a close.

At 16 years old, on a balmy May Friday night way back in 1975. I rolled up to the Forestville Youth Centre (The Forrie Bop) tickets were a couple of dollars and the band on the night included the likes of Bon Scott, Angus Young, Malcolm Young, Paul Matters and Phil Rudd, yes ‘ACDC’ all for $2.00, can you believe that.
