Local favourite Adam Newling will take the stage at Golden Hour as the inaugural Bondi Beach event locks in its final lineup and set times.
The festival, headlined by Crowded House, will bring a huge night of live music to Bondi Beach this Friday, with local indie songwriter Adam Newling confirmed as one of the final additions to the bill.
For Newling, who has been steadily building a national following, the chance to open such a landmark event marks a major moment in his 2026.
Newling joins a lineup stacked with Australian heavy-hitters, including Thelma Plum and emerging pop–soul newcomer Lucienne. Lucienne will kick things off from 5pm, bringing the smooth, magnetic sound that has quickly won over Sydney audiences since her 2025 debut.
Her blend of soulful vocals and warm, contemporary production is set to provide the perfect opening to Golden Hour’s first-ever outing.
Newling follows with a 5:45pm set, giving fans an early-evening burst of alternative indie storytelling. Since emerging in 2021, he has grown into one of Australia’s most compelling new voices, praised for his raw lyricism and commanding stage presence.
His latest single Foxtrap has pushed his songwriting into a new chapter, one that’s expected to continue evolving as he heads deeper into 2026.
Whether headlining his own shows or supporting acts like Skegss, Amy Shark and King Stingray, Newling has become known for performances that feel intimate, honest and effortlessly engaging.

With gates opening at 5pm, Golden Hour promises a nonstop run of live music as soon as the crowd hits the sand. General Admission ticket holders are encouraged to arrive early to secure their place in the standing-only area. Picnic blankets are welcome, but chairs are not permitted.
