Bluey’s Big Play is bringing the Heeler family back to Newcastle and beyond, with the hit live stage show continuing its Australian tour from June to September 2026.

After delighting millions of fans around the world, Bluey’s Big Play The Stage Show is returning home for an extensive national tour that will see Bluey, Bingo, Mum (Chilli) and Dad (Bandit) visit cities and regional centres across the country.

The second leg of the 2026 tour kicks off at the Sydney Opera House on 10 June before travelling through regional New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania, with an encore Melbourne season also locked in for July.

Based on the Emmy Award-winning animated series, the production brings Bluey’s world to life with larger-than-life puppets, original music and a brand-new story created by Bluey creator Joe Brumm.

When Dad is determined to enjoy a quiet afternoon on the bean bag, Bluey and Bingo have other ideas, leading to a playful adventure packed with games, laughter and family fun.

The stage adaptation features the original television voices of Melanie Zanetti as Mum and David McCormack as Dad, while an ensemble of puppeteers brings the beloved characters to life on stage.

Directed by Rosemary Myers of Windmill Theatre Company, the production combines theatrical storytelling with the warmth and humour that has made Bluey a global phenomenon.

Since premiering in Australia in 2020, Bluey’s Big Play has toured the UK, Ireland, Canada, the United States, Europe, Singapore, South Africa and the UAE, entertaining more than two million audience members worldwide.

The show’s return to Australia follows record-breaking international seasons and comes as Bluey continues its award-winning run, most recently claiming Best Children’s Program at the 2025 TV WEEK Logie Awards.

Bluey’s Big Play The Stage Show will arrive at Newcastle’s Civic Theatre 19-20 September 2026. Tickets are on sale now, with full tour dates and ticket information available via blueylive.com.
