Much of the talk after Saturday’s Groovin’ The Moo music festival in Maitland had little to do with music. In fact a lot of the social media chat centred around what people were wearing.
“There was one that just had pants on and tape covering her nipples” one post read. “There’ll be some sunburnt buns tomorrow,” said another. And our personal fav, “has anyone told these kids that it’s gonna be 12 degrees tonight?”.
It got us thinking – It’s 2017… Are we really still hung up on what people are wearing? Is it because many GTM revellers are under 18 that we’re casting judgment on how much skin is too much skin?
Here at Newcastle Live, we’re always going for comfort over fashion, especially at a festival, but if that comfort means stripping off a few layers and baring a bit of skin… We’re going for it (much to the horror of people around us).
So while we’re far from the fashion police, we’re certainly not an office of clothing trendsetters either.
Saying that, you guys seem really interested in what people were wearing on Saturday, so here it is… Our GTM Fashion parade.
