He’s the Central Coast-bred guitar prodigy who counts the likes of Ellen DeGeneres and Carlos Santana as fans.
And the young Gibson SG slinger Taj Farrant will show Novocastrians just how well he knows his way around a fretboard when he hits the Lizotte’s next week.
Taj will join Newcastle songwriter Paris Grace and alt prog-rockers Steer for a Live N Local Guitar Showcase to write home about on Wednesday 26 May.
Taj Farrant may be young, but his natural musical ability surpasses his age.
This down to earth Aussie kid is more than passionate about playing guitar and is clearly a natural born rocker through and through.
As a guitarist Taj has that truly genuine ‘feel’ when he plays, with technique and soul well beyond his years.
With Taj’s online presence growing fast and being featured on the Ellen DeGeneres show, Taj has also been blessed to share the stage with some world-class artist such as Carlos Santana, Rob Thomas, Orianthi and many more.
After pricking up many an ear, thanks to performances on Australia’s Got Talent and The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Taj’s star really started to soar.
Case in point, his cracking cover of Chris Stapleton’s track Tennessee Whiskey has amassed more than 8.5 million views on YouTube.
Also in 2020, he was invited on stage, at the House Of Blues event in Las Vegas, by guitar maestro Carlos Santana for a jam session and the video of that meeting of creative minds has garnered more than 1.2million views.
Not bad at all!
