Façon and Greater Bank launch 2024 Indigenous Storytellers Scholarship

Façon Australia, in collaboration with Greater Bank, has announced the return of their annual Indigenous Storytellers Scholarship.

Also known as the Djuyalgal Scholarship, the initiative aims to empower Indigenous storytellers in New South Wales and provide them with resources and support.

Greater Bank will fund the Scholarship with one applicant getting an injection of $10,000 to pursue their creative aspirations.

Recipient of the 2023 Indigenous Storytellers Scholarship, filmmaker Jahvis Loveday said the win had a profound impact

“The scholarship helped me kick start incredible projects over the past year, collaborating with Indigenous artists from my region and beyond,” Jahvis said.

In addition to providing financial assistance to the recipient, the scholarship also extends invaluable mentorship to all nine finalists representing diverse categories such as writing, fashion design, accessory design, art painting, music, dance, digital art, film, and photography.

Applications are now open. For more details visit faconaustralia.com/scholarship.
