FAAABULOUS: The sequins must go on for Metropolitan Players

Just when we all thought life and live entertainment was getting back on track; the new lockdown hit.

The Metropolitan Players production of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert – The Musical was postponed in 2020 due to the pandemic, but come August 18 the sequins, feather boas, and the bus will be back when they take to the stage at the Civic Theatre.

But new regulations around audience numbers will see the group’s audiences cut to 50% – making it a very difficult financial undertaking for the group. How can you help? Director Julie Black spoke with Newcastle in the Morning.
