That incredible, one-of-a-kind, piano Mitch Revs painted for Elton John’s show in Newcastle is now up for auction!
And the best part is that all proceeds will support women and children escaping domestic violence.
The upright piano, hand-painted by the renowned Newcastle artist, was commissioned by Venues NSW and Scentre Group for the legendary musician’s sold-out farewell shows at McDonald Jones Stadium in January.
And it’s not only beautiful to look at, but it’s also a fully functioning musical instrument.
The piano will now be a centrepiece of an annual charity function at Fort Scratchley on Saturday 11 March, with all proceeds from the auction going to Got Your Back Sista and Nova for Women and Children.
Bidding on the piano will be open to the public online via AirAuctioneer.

“Women often come to us with little more than the clothes on their backs. They reach out because they’re in crisis and need individual support to navigate leaving an abusive situation, finding the right legal and financial support, and rebuilding their lives,” Got Your Back Sista Founder Melissa Histon said.
“A lack of safe, affordable, long-term housing has left women and children living in or at increasing risk of domestic and family violence, creating bottlenecks in crisis and transitional accommodation,” Nova for Women and Children CEO Kelly Hansen said.
“The extra support to help some of the most vulnerable people in our community is most appreciated.”
