Dora Creek is set to come alive this weekend with the first-ever Dora Rocks the Creek event.
The one-day outdoor concert will bring some of Australia’s top tribute acts together for a huge afternoon and evening of live performances under the open sky.
Neville Thompson Oval, behind the Dora Creek Workers Club, will be transformed into a full-scale festival ground, complete with a massive stage and massive sound and lighting setup, inviting locals and visitors to celebrate some of the biggest names in rock and pop through world-class tribute performances.
The lineup is packed with crowd favourites, including The Travellin’ Band (fronted by local favourite Anyerin), who will pay homage to Creedence Clearwater Revival, Live Baby Live, a high-energy tribute to INXS and a sing-along inducing set from The Australian Shania Twain Show.
Headliners, Boys Light Up will close the night, pumping out all the classic hits from Australian Crawl and James Reyne.
Festivalgoers are encouraged to bring picnic blankets and chairs, but with an outdoor bar and plenty on offer from local food trucks, there’s no BYO, and larger tents, eskies, and oversized bags will need to stay home.
Dora Rocks the Creek will take over Neville Thompson Oval at Dora Creek Workers Club on Saturday, 25 October. Tickets are on sale now via the club and trybooking.com.
