Breakthrough rapper Allday will headline The Stress Less Sessions at Newcastle University’s Bar On The Hill this November during ‘Stress Less Week’.
‘Stress Less Week’ is designed to give students a chance to unwind before the busy exam period, and what better way to kick back than with a night of killer live music.
The Stress Less Sessions will be Allday’s first ever headline show in Newcastle, giving fans a chance to catch him outside of his national album tour which saw the Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide shows sell out in a week.
Allday is arguably leading the new wave of rising Aussie rap artists. His first full length album Startup Cult, featuring the singles ‘Right Now’ and ‘You Always Know The DJ’, debuted at an impressive #3 on the Aria charts in July. The 22-year-old produces a fresh style of hip hop, with soulful R&B and electronic undertones.
Also hitting the stage are local lads The Owls, who have just released their highly anticipated third EP Own The Streets. The four-piece are set to deliver their signature brooding blues-driven rock, with thumping bass lines and punchy riffs to kick the night into gear.
Not just a night for stressed-out students plagued with pre-exam panic, The Stress Less Sessions is the perfect excuse for all to have a mid-week party and shake off the shackles of the daily grind. Tickets are on sale Monday 18TH August 9AM at the venue and via Oztix.
