Delta Goodrem has announced the postponement of her Bridge Over Troubled Dreams Tour.

Local fans who were looking forward to catching the local leg of the tour next month will now have to wait until next year to catch the superstar singer-songwriter.

“I never could have imagined that we would be forced to move my Bridge Over Troubled Dreams tour a second time,” Delta said.

Promoters of the tour, TEG Live, said that whilst everyone involved is devastated to reschedule the concert dates for a second time, the ongoing COVID restrictions on mass gatherings and interstate travel make touring impossible in the current environment. And that the health and safety of fans, touring crew and venue staff remains the highest priority.

“These are unprecedented times in which we find ourselves and the ongoing challenges resulting from the coronavirus pandemic are devastating,” the Australian songstress said.

“I want to thank you for your incredible support, patience and understanding through this very unique time. Thereโ€™s nothing like being with everyone in person and filling the room with live music. I am so proud of the show weโ€™ve put together and I know we were all looking forward to it this year but it will be something very special for us to look forward to sharing together in March and April 2022.”

Tickets purchased for the Newcastle show remain valid for the rescheduled dates, including the same seating, with ticket holders not needing to take any action.

Bridge Over Troubled Dreams Tour to Newcastle Entertainment Centre on Friday 8 April 2021. Tickets are currently on sale for the new dates.
