Scottish comedy superstar Danny Bhoy is bringing his 13th Australian tour to Newcastle, performing his latest show Dear World… at the Civic Theatre in March.
Fans can expect an evening of sharp observational humour, storytelling brilliance, and laughs from one of the world’s most acclaimed comics.
Bhoy first won over Australian audiences at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2003 and has since become a favourite for his unique blend of stand-up and theatrical storytelling.
Known for selling out major venues around the globe, he combines clever wit with relatable observations that resonate across cultures.
Dear World… is the sequel to his 2015 hit Dear Epson… and has already delighted audiences during a sold-out run at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe.
Praised for his intelligence and subtle humour, Bhoy’s style has been described as “subtle, intelligent, perceptive, observant, and very, very funny” by The Scotsman, and “one of the most sparkling wits in the world” by the Montreal Gazette. His blend of storytelling and comedy makes each performance feel both intimate and globally relevant.
The Newcastle performance is part of a broader national tour that sees Bhoy visit major cities including Geelong, Bendigo, Ballarat, Gold Coast, Toowoomba, Brunswick Heads, Canberra, Thirroul, Liverpool, and Gosford, bringing his sharp wit to audiences across Australia.
Danny Bhoy performs Dear World… at Newcastle Civic Theatre on Wednesday, 18 March 2026. Tickets are on sale now via dannybhoy.com. The 80-minute show has no interval and is recommended for fans of smart, observational comedy.
