Melbourne, singer songwriter, Dan Brodie will hit the stage at the Stag & Hunter in Mayfield this Saturday night (August 13) supported by one of the best local line-up we’ve seen all year.

Brodie’s talents have seen him awarded two ARIAs and his  unfaltering reputation as an incredible live performer has seen him score acclaimed appearances at festivals such as the Big Day Out, Byron Bay Bluesfest, Splendour in the Grass and the Binic Folks Blues festival in France.

Brodie completed work on his fifth “solo” LP, Deep Deep Love in 2012 before a diagnosis of Hodgkins Lymphoma and subsequent treatment of chemotherapy and radiotherapy sidelined him for a year, delaying the record but releasing the single and video, Tear us down.

Supporting the talented musician on the night will be local songstress, De’may & the always entertaining James Thomson & The Strange Pilgrims.

Deโ€™May is an intriguing songwriter on the rise, with the ability to shine a light into the dark corners of the soul and explore the trials and tribulations of unruly emotion. Her medium is primarily electric-folk with a tinge of country, but she possesses the skills and insight to blend and intertwine those styles with the lighter side of indie rock and melancholic pop with a bluesey shimmer and sway.

James Thomson is a critically acclaimed musician who has released two highly regarded albums and toured nationally multiple times, both as a solo artist and with his band The Strange Pilgrims. Thomsonโ€™s latest album Cold Moon is a soulful trip through blues, rock and roll, country, folk and beyond.
