In an effort to combat the food envy and indecision across the country, pizza player Crust and burger chain Milky Lane have teamed up to create a lineup of pizza-burger-hybrids
No longer will you have to choose between two of the world’s most crave-worthy foods because Crust and Milky Lane have finally made sure you can have both.
Milky Lane has created two burgs inspired by two famous Crust pizzas and Crust has cooked up two pizzas that give a wink to two over-the-top Milky Lane burgers.
Buyers’ remorse begone… Because now when you’re bingeing on a burger you can also be pigging on a pizza.
“We love experimenting with flavors and always love serving up something unique to our customers, we know they’re going to love these mind-blowing new pizza burgers,” Milky Lane, Founder Christian Avant said.
With that said, Milky Lane has created the Notorious P.I.G Inspired by Crust’s crowd-dividing Hawaiian pizza.
The Notorious P.I.G burger has a double smashed beef pattie on a cheese, bacon, and pineapple milk bun topped with mozzarella cheese, melted cheese, streaky bacon, shaved leg ham, Mexican shredded cheese, and deep fried pineapple.
But the burger-pizza (or is that pizza-burger?) madness doesn’t stop there because Milky Lane have honored Crust’s Peri Peri Chicken Pizza with a mashup creation they’re calling Peri J Blige.
Think Milky Lane’s classic southern fried chicken burger making sweet sweet love with a Peri Peri milk bun, red capsicum strips, mozzarella cheese, Napoli sauce, mixed Italian herbs, Peri Peri Sauce, and to top it off, a deep-fried mozzarella pattie!
Not to be outdone, Crust is also pushing the pizza envelope with The Big P and an invention they’re calling the Chic-Kanye.
“Milky Lane is such a dynamic, fun brand. We both have shared values around bringing the best, most delicious food to our customers so it was a no-brainer to collaborate to bring something new to the table,” Crust Pizza, Marketing Manager, Alana Wilson said.
“We’re excited to be putting a fresh twist on some of our most-loved Crust classics.”
The Big P is inspired by one of Milky Lane’s most decadent beef burgers. Made up of slow-cooked pulled pork, ground beef, caramelised onions, and mozzarella on a BBQ base. It’s topped with dill pickles, maple bacon bits, and Mexi-cheese mix and finished with Milky Lane’s signature burger sauce. And if that wasn’t enough, The Big P completes its over-the-top-ness with an onion-ring crust!
If a chicken pizza is more your style Crust have you covered. The Chic-Kanye takes fried chicken tenders coated in Milky Lane’s signature southern seasoning, bacon, caramelised pineapple, roasted potato, and mozzarella and smashes it on a BBQ base topped with maple bacon bits, Mexi-cheese mix, and Sriracha aioli.
