Since Elton John graced our fair city earlier this week, speculation on which other superstar acts will be next in line to bring their tours to the Hunter has been rife.

And with confirmation of an album of new songs from The Rolling Stones on the way later year, we might just see Mick, Keith and Ronnie touchdown for a local gig sooner rather than later.

Keith Richards himself has hinted that a tour is imminent.

โ€œThere is some new music on the way and hopefully weโ€™ll get to see you. Anyway, let’s keep our fingers crossed,” Keith Richards said in a video posted to his social media.

The last time The Rolling Stones played in the Hunter was on the 14 on Fire tour in 2014 when they brought the heat to Hope Estate.

While the band have only played shows in America and Europe since they are renowned for hitting the road for full-blown world tours when there’s a new album to flog.

But just like the predictions of Lady Gaga, Madonna and Pearl Jam a Stones’ show in the Hunter is just speculation.

Two things are for certain though. The Rolling Stones will release their GRRR Live! album on 10 February 2023 and an album of new songs will hit our ears later this year. Visit rollingstones.com and follow Keith Richards online to find out more.
