Australia’s favourite gardener, Costa Georgiadis will visit the Newcastle Seed Library in September to talk about seeds, soil and gardening for the soul.
Beyond his television duties, Costa is continually focused on issues arising from a rapidly urbanising world.
His book, Costa’s World: Gardening for the Soul, the Soil and the Suburbs, which discusses the importance of biodiversity and habitat, regenerative agriculture, permaculture and holistic land practices will form the basis of his talk at the library.
Sharing seeds through the Seed Library helps preserve rare, tasty and heritage varieties for gardeners in the Hunter strengthening biodiversity and food security.
Members of Newcastle Libraries can access the Seed Library from Wallsend Library, Lambton Library and the Digital Library and take home some free seeds
Tickets for the Costa Talks Seeds, Soil and Gardening for the Soul at Wallsend Library event on Sunday 18 September 2022, are free, but you must register online at newcastle.nsw.gov.au/library/.
