Christmas Under the Stars returns to King Edward Park this December

Newcastle Permanent will bring its iconic Christmas Under the Stars event to King Edward Park this December.

There’ll be heaps of activities for the kids, free popcorn, food trucks and plenty of space for families to enjoy a picnic dinner.

The event will also see local acts like Kylie Jane, The Vanguard Players and Crocq leading a Christmas carol sing-a-long before a screening of the G-rated festive season favourite, The Grinch.

“It’s always such a great night – singing carols, sharing popcorn and watching a family-friendly Christmas movie, and we’re so delighted to be bringing it back,” Newcastle Permanent CEO Bernadette Inglis said.

“There’s nothing quite like an Australian Christmas, shared with friends and family in the great outdoors, soaking up our glorious summer weather.

“So be sure to bring the whole family to be part of what promises to be our best Christmas Under the Stars yet!

“Christmas Under the Stars will mark the start of our annual Cinema Under the Stars tour of regional NSW, as we bring a free film event to 11 towns across our footprint.”

A free shuttle bus service will also be available on the night, set to run between the Bar Beach Car Park and King Edward Park, and Bolton Street Car Park and King Edward Park from 4.00 pm –11.59 pm.

The free Newcastle Permanent Christmas Under the Stars event will hit King Edward Park on Saturday 17 December. Follow the Newcastle Permanent Facebook page for more details.
