Celebrate Oktoberfest in style at The Bavarian

While we may still be in September, that doesn’t mean you have to wait to strap on the Lederhosen to celebrate Oktoberfest 2020.

That’s because Charlestown eatery The Bavarian is kicking the festivities off early, tempting you with an array of classic German dishes and beers that are sure to have you shouting “wunderbar” from the rooftops.

From now until October 31 the restaurant is offering a set Oktoberfest Feasting Menu featuring such classic German fare as buttery pretzels, golden-crackled pork knuckle, pork belly, a trio of plump German sausages and, of course, schnitzel.

The formidable spread also comes complete with all the traditional trimmings like sauerkraut, red cabbage, mashed potato, apple compote, bier jus and house-made apple strudel with vanilla ice cream.

And, for just $39 per person, how can you go wrong?

It wouldn’t be Oktoberfest without lashings of beer and The Bavarian has certainly got you covered with seven German brews – Löwenbräu, Franziskaner Hefe Weissbier Dunkel, Franziskaner Hefe Weissbier Hell, Hofbräu Original, Hofbräu Dunkel, Paulaner, and Spaten, on tap.

Each beer abides by the ancient German Purity Law, or “Reinheitsgebot”, which means that it can only contain four ingredients: water, hops, malt and yeast.

The Bavarian is located at Charlestown Square. Head here for more info and to book.
