That’s right, there’s no typo, this Australia Day Murray’s Brewery in Port Stephens will be pouring Lamington Beer in celebration of our National Day.
“It’s simply un-Australian to drink anything but great Aussie brews on Australia Day – so we are creating something special for the weekend with the release of our first Lamington Beer. Think chocolate/coconut delicious-ness in a glass! It’s going to be a great day here at beautiful Port Stephens,” brewery owner Murray Howe said.
Murray’s beers will be matched to a series of food specials, themed around (you guessed it) lamb – including delicious lamb burgers. There’s a large range of local and regional wines to sample, as well as Murray’s current range of 100% Australian owned and brewed craft beer and cider.
A free concert of great Aussie tunes will be performed from 12.30pm, featuring local artist, Amy Fredes.
The day will culminate with a thong throwing competition – for both kids and adults – with prizes for the longest throws.
