The Carrodise festival will make a vibrant return to Newcastle on Sunday, 25 January 2026, with co-headliners The Preatures and Crooked Colours.

Carrington will be transformed into a coastal street party for the one-day boutique festival, which is quickly becoming one of the most beloved fixtures on the summer calendar. And it’s picking up some serious momentum with this kick-arse lineup.

THE LINEUP

Fresh from their 2025 Blue Planet Eyes 10th Anniversary Tour, The Preatures will return to Newcastle as part of their long-awaited reunion. They’ll be joined by indie-electronic heavyweights Crooked Colours, who will bring their festival-scale energy to the intimate outdoor festival stage.

Alongside the heavy hitters at the top of the bill, festival-goers will enjoy a sun-soaked mix of coastal and indie sounds with Letters to Lions, Byron Bay groovers The Colliflowers, and local favourites, The Cheaks and Soyboy.

THE BACKDROP

Carrodise takes its name from the suburbโ€™s long-held nickname, a nod to Carringtonโ€™s industrial-meets-coastal personality and its fiercely proud community.

Earp Distilling Co., now a cultural anchor for the area, has spent the past decade nurturing grassroots arts, hosting performances and events that weave music into the neighbourhoodโ€™s identity, and that’s what we’ll see showcased during the 2026 festival.

THE VIBES

It’s a choose-your-own-adventure kind of day. Earp Distilling Co. will bring its Darling Street location to life with an outdoor stage and bar, while a network of indoor lounges, air-conditioned spaces, and shaded seating will offer respite from the summer heat.

The bar will be serving up cocktails, slushies, canned Earp Spirits, local beer and wine, and a full menu of seasonal dishes from the kitchen. For those wanting a break from the sun without missing the action, the Barrel Hall will host a livestream of the main stage. Additional indoor and outdoor facilities, including expanded accessible amenities, aim to ensure comfort for everyone throughout the day.

THE TICKETS

The festival will heavily lean into Earp’s philosophy of accessible, boutique, affordable, and proudly independent events. Festival tickets will range from $84 to $99, keeping the event within reach for locals while ensuring artists and small businesses remain front and centre.

Companion Cards will also be accepted, with companion passes arranged after purchasing a primary ticket. The festival includes a mix of indoor seating, shade, accessible facilities, and multiple viewing options. Anyone with specific needs or questions is encouraged to reach out so arrangements can be made in advance.
