McDonald’s Australia promised to make a significant investment in the local economy of Cardiff with the construction of a new restaurant on Pendlebury Road.

The project, which is expected to inject over $5 million into the area, will also create more than 200 jobs for construction workers and restaurant employees.

This new restaurant will be owned and operated by Hayden Smith, a dedicated Licensee who has been part of the McDonald’s family for over a decade.

With five existing Macca’s restaurants under his leadership, Hayden has already made a positive impact on the community by employing over 750 locals.

“McDonald’s Cardiff is committed to playing an active role in the local community through providing jobs, training and development opportunities, as well as supporting local charities and groups that are important to our customers and people,” Hayden said.

“We look forward to serving up our great tasting, great quality menu once the restaurant opens later this year.”

The restaurant will feature a dual-lane drive-thru, a dedicated partner delivery room (for Uber and the like), a McCafé, and a PlayPlace for families to enjoy.

It will also be equipped with solar panels, a heat recovery water system, and LED lights, all contributing to reduced emissions and energy usage. Additionally, the car park will feature wheel stops made from recycled materials, further promoting eco-friendly practices.

As the Cardiff restaurant gears up for its grand opening, McDonald’s is actively recruiting for various positions. From crew members and baristas to management and maintenance roles, there are opportunities available for individuals looking to join the McDonald’s team in Lake Macquarie.
