The Wildflower which was meant to roll into Roche Estate in the Hunter Valley this Saturday, 2 April, has been cancelled.
Organisers say the ongoing weather has rendered the venue substantially waterlogged and determined that it was unsafe to commence erecting the stage and supporting infrastructure necessary for the event to proceed as scheduled.
“This is a huge disappointment to us given the years of planning involved with Wildflower and the challenges we have all faced during the pandemic,” A Facebook post from Wildflower said.
The lineup for the festival featured Kate Miller-Heidke, Kasey Chambers, Sarah Blasko, Deborah Conway, Thornbird, Alice Skye and headliner, Missy Higgins.
“We all desperately wanted this show to proceed. However, the safety of our crew, bands and audience is absolutely paramount. We share your disappointment, and understand it is frustrating that this happens.”
People who have purchased tickets will be automatically refunded in full to the original payment method used for purchase.
