Being in the middle of lockdown doesn’t mean we can’t treat ourselves and be a little bit fancy, right? Well, that fact is certainly not lost on Reece Hignell and the good folks over at Cake Boi.

After setting hearts and tastebuds aflutter across the region last weekend with their home-delivered High Tea for Two, the staff at the Hamilton-based cakery are gearing up to do it all again.

Proving to be the hottest culinary ticket in town, these Cornucopias of moreish morsels sold out faster than a six-pack of Quilton at Woolies.

Preparing for the inevitable onslaught of orders, Recce took to Instagram. this week to telegraph the return of the High Teas, revealing that only the fastest early birds will get the chance to indulge.

“As they have been so popular we wanted to give everyone a bit of a heads up of when they will be released,” the post read.

This Thursday we will release the boxes at 12pm for everyone to purchase on our online store. This gives us a bit of time to reorganise the box.”

Coming stacked with an array of sandwiches, cakes, tarts, pastries and scones, not to mention lashings of jam, condiments, cream and tea, these babies will set you back $65 – a small price to pay for a bit of at-home fanciness.

Yum!

You’ll need to keep an eagle eye on Cake Boi’s Insta over the coming days as they’ll be dropping helpful reminders to set your alarms.

So, start training that mouse finger now because these High Tea boxes go live at 12pm on Thursday and they’re not going to stick around long

Head here for more info and have a happy high tea.
