A Bonnells Bay couple are buzzing with excitement after picking up a win in Saturday’s Lotto draw.
The lucky Lake Macquarie residents, who wish to remain anonymous, are now over $700,000 richer after hitting the jackpot.
“My little heart is beating fast!” the woman exclaimed when her prize was confirmed by an official from The Lott yesterday.
“We haven’t had much sleep. It’s so exciting!
“I checked the ticket last night after the draw and I had to go and wake my husband. He didn’t believe me at first, but he does now!
“This will change our lives, it really will. It’s just amazing.
Their winning streak began with a stroke of spontaneity.
“I just play randomly. I won $36 on Thursday night so I thought I would roll it over and get a ticket into Saturday Lotto.
“I’ve joked to my husband for years that all my plans hinge on winning Lotto! And now we’ve won it!
“We want to start travelling around Australia – the plan is to do a lap of the country. This will be a great nest egg for that. We’ll also be able to share some with our kids.”
