The Newcastle Pride Festival is back this October, promising three fabulous weeks of celebration, connection, and colour across the Hunter Region.
The 2025 event will mark the sixth year of the festival, which has become one of New South Walesโ most vibrant and inclusive LGBTQIA+ celebrations.
Last year, the event attracted more than 12,000 attendees in 2024 witha dynamic program of events that reflected the diversity and creativity of the LGBTQIA+ community.
This yearโs theme, Our Pride! Our Truth!, puts authenticity and resilience front and centre, inviting the community to honour the stories and strength that define queer identity.
Festival highlights include the ever-popular Newcastle Pride Parade from Honeysuckle to Nobbys Beach, a massive Fair Day in Gregson Park, and the high-energy Poof Doof + Dyke Doof afterparty at the Hamilton Station Hotel.
The program also features drag shows, queer film screenings, comedy, youth events, creative workshops, and even an erotic pottery class hosted by Wonder Mama.
“Newcastle Pride Festival is about more than just celebration, itโs about visibility, solidarity, and making space for every voice in our community,” President Lee-Anne McDougall said.
The 2025 Newcastle Pride Festival will kick off on Friday, 3 October and run until Sunday, 26 October. For the full program and ticket information, visit newcastlepride.com.au.
