Plans to resurrect Awaba House to its former glory have been lodged and work should get started early next year.
Lake Macquarie Mayor Kay Fraser told Newcastle Live Radio The fire-ravaged building’s heritage facade will be maintained and a modern new interior fit-out to include a cafe and separate function room overlooking Lake Macquarie.
