April School Holidays at Maitland Regional Art Gallery

Maitland Regional Art Gallery will host a range of artistic activities and workshops over the April school holidays.

From drop-in activities inspired by current exhibitions to bookable artist-led workshops, the gallery promises an interactive and imaginative experience for visitors of all ages.

Two of the drop-in activities will be centred around two current exhibitions; The Collectors – Small Museums Commissions and Visual Weight – Robert Klippel.

For those eager to dive deeper into their creativity, the gallery offers bookable workshops led by artists. Participants can expect to engage in various artistic endeavours, such as crafting ceramic pieces using clay hand-building techniques, assembling found objects into unique artworks, or even constructing habitats for imaginary creatures.

Maitland Regional Art Gallery has also opened enrolments for its weekly after-school program, Art Explorers, starting on 7 May. This program offers students the opportunity to explore exhibitions with artist educators and express themselves through different materials and acquired skills.
