Australian singer-songwriter Ami Williamson will make her debut at Flamingos Live this Sunday

The Sunday afternoon performance will showcase the magnetic performer’s unique blend of storytelling, folk and jazz influences.

Williamson has spent years carving out a distinct place within Australiaโ€™s contemporary music scene, built on powerhouse vocals, sharp wit and emotionally charged songwriting.

Her forthcoming album, Sing You Out Of Me, continues that tradition, pairing raw personal storytelling with soulful arrangements and a tongue-in-cheek take on life and love. The record also features a striking reinterpretation of the iconic The Angels classic Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again, originally fronted by the late Doc Neeson.

Williamsonโ€™s musical journey began early, touring alongside her father, legendary Australian country music artist John Williamson, before formally studying classical singing and piano at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

A scholarship later took her to Germany to continue her studies, and while she was eventually accepted into Opera Australia, Williamson ultimately returned to songwriting โ€” the craft that would define her career.

Since releasing her debut album Close to Home, Williamson has performed her celebrated One Woman Show at festivals and venues across Australia and overseas, including the Port Fairy Folk Festival, Woodford Folk Festival and the National Folk Festival.

Ami Williamson will take to the stage at Flamingos Live this Sunday, 31 May. More info and tickets can be found at flamingos.live.
