Newcastle Basketball want to know what you think is the best name for the city’s basketball teams?
Earlier this week Newcastle Basketball boss Neil Goffet spoke to Newcastle Live Radio about returning to the NBL for the first time since 2006 through the NBL1 East competition in 2022.
This exciting news provides an opportunity for a refresh of the branding including the possibility of bringing the Newcastle Falcons name back.
The board and management have now gone live with a survey to find out what the basketball-loving public think of possible names that are currently on the table.
They say that there are pros and cons in terms of balancing tradition with a fresh approach. which is why they’d like some feedback on which brand they choose.
Beyond the Newcastle Falcons, other names they are considering include Hunter Pirates, Newcastle Pirates, Newcastle Hunters, Newcastle Scorpions and Newcastle Hustlers.
