Table service will become a thing of the past for Adam’s Ribs & Pizza in Adamstown.
“With all the uncertainty regarding COVID restrictions and what the future of dining holds, we have decided to go back to our original plan of being a takeaway with seating,” Mark Burrell, the owner of Adam’s Ribs & Pizza, said via Facebook.
According to the post, offering seating to people who ordered takeaway, rather than operating as a traditional restaurant, was always the original plan. But after the much-loved takeaway pizza outlet took over the space adjoining their Glebe Road shop a few years ago they decided to give the restaurant game a chance.
“After we took possession of the shop next door in early 2015 we started building and along the way we decided to have a go at making it a Restaurant with table service too,” Mark said.
But now, with COVID restrictions and everything that 2020 has thrown at the world, Adam’s Ribs & Pizza have decided to cease its restaurant offering and will no longer be taking bookings or providing table service.
“We have not taken this decision lightly and would really like to thank everybody who we have served over the past 5 years,” he said.
“Remember we are still operating as a takeaway and you can sit down if tables are available. Once restrictions lift we will be able to add more tables but until then our limit in the dine-in area is 15 people.”
