Nick Cave fans will converge on Abicus in Darby Street next week for a special listening party.
The store will be hosting an advance playback of Wild God, the highly anticipated new album by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds.
While the highlight of the night will be the playing of the album, in full, before its official release, this listening party is more than just a preview.
The evening will feature an exclusive screening of The Making of Wild God, a documentary directed by Megan Cullen. The film offers an intimate look into the creative process behind the album.
Adding a local flavour to the evening, award-winning Hunter Valley winemaker Angus Vinden will be on hand, offering tastings of his finest selections.
Vinden, a longtime friend of Abicus, is known for his innovative approach to winemaking, using grapes from his family’s organic vineyards. His presence adds a touch of elegance and local pride to the event, making it a full sensory experience for those in attendance.
This event is free and open to all, but with space being limited, fans are encouraged to arrive early to secure their spot.
Alongside the music and film, there will be exclusive giveaways, including a limited-edition Nick Cave poster and enamel pin, available with any vinyl pre-orders or purchases made on the night.
The Wild God Listening Party is happening at Abicus in Darby Street on Thursday, 29 August from 8pm. Visit abicus.com.au for more information.
