A CELTIC CHRISTMAS: Newcastle gets some Irish charm this festive season

Seven-time world champion Irish dancer Alliyah O’Hare will head to Newcastle with A Taste of Ireland this December for A Celtic Christmas at the Civic Theatre.

The feel-good show aims to give locals a bit of Irish charm for the festive season with a company featuring over 15 of the world’s leading Irish Dancers and musicians, including stars of other well-known shows such as Riverdance and Lord of the Dance.

“We are extremely proud of the company we have assembled for our 2022 tour,” said co-producer Ceili Moore.

“We have the very best talent from across both Australia and the international dance world.”

Alongside Alliyah O’Hare, the most decorated competitive Irish dancer of a generation, the cast also features Donegal twins Niamh and Gavin Shevlin.

Niamh has spent the last 4 years touring arenas, theatres and stadiums as the Lord of the Dance’s leading lady.

Gavin also has an impressive collection of awards under his belt. Having also performed globally with both Riverdance and Lord of the Dance, A Taste of Ireland principal performer Gavin is now delighted to be visiting and performing with the company again in A Celtic Christmas.

The show also features award-winning Irish musicians who play a mix of traditional tunes, heartfelt ballads, carols and red-hot rhythms alongside brand-new sets and costumes.

A Celtic Christmas by A Taste Of Ireland will hit the stage at the Civic Theatre Newcastle on Thursday, 1 December 2022. For tickets and show info visit civictheatrenewcastle.com.au.
