B-B-B-B-BAD: George Thorogood and The Destroyers hit town for anniversary gig

Back in 20202, only weeks before the pandemic destroyed the live music industry as we knew it, George Thorogood & The Destroyers were touring around the country. And now he’s coming back to do it all over again.

George will hit the stage at the Civic Theatre with The Destroyers in November 2022 to celebrate 40 years of their classic Bad To The Bone.

The partnership between Thorogood and The Destroyers has a 45-year history. Jeff Simon (drums, percussion), Bill Blough (bass guitar), Jim Suhler (rhythm guitar) and Buddy Leach (saxophone) have continually delivered explosive live shows and recorded guitar-wailin’, face-meltin’ songs.

On top of the celebration of 40 years of Bad To The Bone the band will perform their hits Get A Haircut, I Drink Alone, One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer, Move It On Over and Who Do You Love along with several other surprises.

To coincide with the anniversary tour, Universal Music will be releasing the Australasian-Exclusive souvenir edition of the album, The Original George Thorogood.

The release will be available on CD, including an Australian exclusive tour slipcase, and on streaming services.

George Thorogood & The Destroyers hit town on Wednesday, 2 November 2022, for a show at the Civic Theatre Newcastle. Visit Live Nation for tickets and more information.
