It doesn’t get better than Tamworth in January and the 45th Annual Toyota Country Music Festival is gearing up to be one of the best Festival’s yet with an amazing line up of country-music stars including The McClymonts, Lee Kernaghan, Troy Cassar-Daley, Graeme Connors, Felicity Urquhart, Paul Costa and Camille & Stuii all set to perform.

The McClymonts will be in Tamworth hot on the heels of their highly successful ‘10 Years of Hits’ tour.  In addition to playing their best-loved hits, the girls will be premiering songs from their new studio album for the first time live.

2016 Roll of Renown inductee Graeme Connors will also return to the Tamworth during the Festival, performing a brand new show ‘Modern Histories’, at the Town Hall.

Then we have one of Australia’ most prominent contemporary country music artists, a legend in Australian country music, Lee Kernaghan, bringing his special, once in a lifetime show ‘The Boy from the Bush’.

Celebrating 25 years of smash hits, Lee Kernaghan’s show will feature surprise guest appearances by a ‘who’s who’ of his musical mates and legends.

This will be a historic event, and Lee’s one and only concert performance during the 2017 Toyota Country Music Festival, Tamworth.

Busking registrations open

If you’re an aspiring musician, the 2017 Toyota LandCruiser Country Music Busking Championships is a great launch pad for your career.

Many of Australia’s most prominent country music artists including Keith Urban, Kasey Chambers, Troy Cassar-Daley and Beccy Cole all started out busking on Peel Street in Tamworth.

Last year Mitch King not only claimed the title of Busking Champion in Tamworth, he went on to be voted the Hottest New Act at the 2016 St Kilda Festival.  Goldheist, last year’s people’s choice award winner recently released her single and music video ‘Far Away From Here’.

The championships are one of the Toyota Country Music Festival Tamworth’s most highly anticipated attractions, with hundreds of buskers set to take part in the always hotly contested competition.

Registrations are currently open online at www.tcmf.com.au, with 10 finalists to be named during the festival from January, 20. Finalists will perform in Toyota Park on Saturday, 28 January and major winners will be announced on the night.

All those taking part also have the chance to share in over $5,000 in cash prizes, plus an opportunity to perform at The Last Roundup, on Sunday, 29 January in Toyota Park, and a guest appearance the following year on the Opening Concert in 2018.
