Lake Macquarie City Council is all set to inject thousands of dollars into Youth Week activities for 2024.
Non-profit organizations can now apply for grants of up to $1500 each to host Youth Week events and activities.
Scheduled to run from 11 April to 24 April Youth Week 2024 will once again celebrate the invaluable contributions made by young people to their communities.
A Youth Week committee, including three members of the Lake Macquarie Youth Council, will assess grant applications. They will give special consideration to events and activities that align with the Lake Macquarie Youth Strategy.
“We’re hoping these grants will support a wide range of activities and events that engage, activate, entertain and celebrate our younger generation,” Lake Macquarie Mayor Kay Fraser said.
“We are keen to support a diverse array of fun, inclusive activities and events that engage and activate younger people throughout the city.”
Applications must be submitted by Friday, 15 December 2023. You can lodge your application at lakemac.com.au/youthweekgrants.
