Ben & Harry’s (at Cooks Hill Surf Life Saving Club)
Open Friday from 6pm and Sunday from 12pm, not only is this one of the best beach bevvie locations, but these guys are serving up some seriously good food.

Parry St Garage
Honest food created with flair. The portions are very generous at a steal of a price-point, so you definitely won’t leave this place hungry!
Antojitos
This new kid on the block in Carrington is offering up some delicioso authentic Mexican made from scratch and served up street-food style. The literal translation of ‘antojitos‘ is ‘little cravings’, and we assure you, this place will leave you with more than a few little cravings to visit again!
Scotties Fish Cafe
This east-end icon has certainly transformed since its days as the corner fish ‘n’ chip shop, but – fear not – fresh fish is still the specialty! Scotties’ cute courtyard is the perfect place to enjoy a sunset dinner under the palms.

With a ‘Drinker’s Digest’ menu of 86 cocktails strong, and some of the most inventive ‘cocktail of the week’ creations we’ve ever seen, there’s a reason why Newcastle named these guys as the cocktail kings.

A sophisticated speakeasy, with a flair for the finest whiskey and classic cocktails, and home to some of the friendliest bar staff in Newcastle. If you’re feeling a bit indecisive (like we always are when it comes to picking a cocktail), just tell them your favourite flavours and they’ll point you in the right direction.

This place will keep you on your toes with their ever-changing cocktail selection, but the consistency of quality and creativity never wavers. If the cocktail you loved last week isn’t on the menu this week, never fear! We assure you, there’s always something equally – if not, more – delicious for you to discover.
