Newcastle’s very own festival of the silver ball – Pinfest – is coming back for what promises to be yet another bumper event this September.
Organised by the Newcastle Pinball Association, Newcastle Pinfest is now in its eighth year and this will be the second time the fest is held at Club Macquarie in Argenton, after moving from its inaugural home Caves Beach Hotel.
This time around, there will be more than 70 pinball machines on display with examples from the 1950s right through to today sure to delight pinheads both young and old.
In this day and age, where such entertainment is usually centred around the latest video game consoles and the graphics quality that these big budget games possess, it’s refreshing to see that there is still a lot of love out there for the humble pinball machine.
The machines on display are owned by private collectors and while the event is not a sale or auction, some machines may be on private sale – so you may have the change to make a perfect addition to the ‘man cave.’
Newcastle Pinfest is on at Club Macquarie, Argenton from Saturday 21 September and Sunday 22 September.
Tickets are $15 per person or $30 per family session. Head here for more information on session times.
