YEE HAW: It’s going to be a Winter Hootenanny at the Stag

Sure, it might be winter but that doesn’t mean the chill need keep you away from having a great night out.

That’s why the good folk at Mayfield’s Stag and Hunter Hotel will be waving ‘adios’ to the shortest day of the year on Saturday 29 June with a Winter Hootenanny featuring an eclectic selection of some of the finest talent this town has to offer.

Kicking off at the respectable time of 12.30pm, the Hootenanny will start strong right out of the gate with Golden Guitar winner Matt Scullion.

Next up, the cool swing of The High Andies, featuring the impressive guitar stylings of Marty Burke, will get the punters into a partying mood before local alt country songstress Nat Henry.

Of that wasn’t enough, the impressive bill will be rounded out by Ben Leece whose debut album No Wonder The World Is Exhausted is pricking up more than a few ears around the traps, Neptunes Tide Machine featuring Coral Lee and James Thomspon and the Strange Pilgrims.

But wait! There’s more. The irrepressible Gleny Rae Virus will hit the stage with Coral Lee as well as with her Sydney-based outfit The Young Bastards, while the super talented Robbie Long will also put his stamp on proceedings.

This is a great way to spend a chilly day fending off Old Man Winter so, get along to the Stag and Hunter Hotel on Saturday 29 June for a good, old fashioned Hootenanny!
