XMAS / NYE GAP: How to make the most of it

It’s a strange strange void. That time between the 25th and the 31st. You’re not really working, but you could be.

You don’t have a lot of energy, but there are so many places to go. You have all the time in the land but no one really has any plans.

The festive grey period but… it can be the best time you’ve ever had.

Read

You’ve been saying it all year. “I just don’ have the time to read!”. Trust me… I hear this all the time because I work in a bookshop. Now you finally have the time and you can easily knock over that book you were bought three Christmases ago!

Shop

Just kidding. Don’t be a jerk. Boxing day sales are for people who could care less about the lives and loves of people in retail. Ot might just be a personal beef but maybe wait a bit yeah?

Swim

We’re surrounded by water guys! Well maybe not surrounded but still there’s a heck of a lot of it right at our doorstep. This week is going to be amazing weather wise and why not take a quick dip.

Wind the flip down

Yes. Maybe it’s your time to just NOT do anything for once in your life. You earned it. You probably worked harder than most this year. So do nothing. Nap, then nap again. How amazing will that be!

Spend time with family

Whether this be the family you were born into or the family you built for yourself this is the time of year to cram it all in. Be the prodigal son you know yourself to be and re-meet your parents. They’ll love it.
