XAVIER RUDD: Outdoor festivals like SummerSalt are my favourite gigs to play

The SummerSalt Festival is headed inland, substituting the rolling waves for rolling hills, and they’re brining one of Australia’s most loved songwriters Xavier Rudd with them. Rudd will be joined by The Cat Empire at the Hope Estate event on 25 November.

“Outdoor festivals like SummerSalt are my favourite gigs to play. I love the smell of dirt and the air. It connects me to the inspiration for the music I’m playing” Xavier tells us over the phone during a recent interview.

“When I perform I really feel the spirit of the earth run through me” he continues.

Since his successful 2002 debut To Let, Xavier Rudd’s music has deeply resonated with the Australian people which has seen him become a real festival favourite and the perfect headliner for an event like SummerSalt.

SummerSalt has hung its hat on gorgeous summer settings and a love of the outdoors. As part of focus, the a purchase of a Green SummerSalt Ticket will see $3.00 for each ticket sold invested into native reforestation projects across agricultural land in NSW & QLD in an effort to offset the emissions generated by the SummerSalt concert series.

Tickets for the show are now on sale. For more information visit –
