Hunter Workers (formerly the Newcastle Trades Hall) rallied outside Harvey Norman Kotara on Friday, calling for an increase in the minimum wage.
The action was in response to business lobby group submissions to the Fair Work Commission opposing a minimum wage increase.
Hunter Workers boss Leigh Shears joined Tracy Mac to discuss the issue.
