WONDERWALK: Top five strolls to take now the weather is getting warmer

You can feel it in the air, can’t you?

The sun is shining, the clouds are whispering, and the trackie dacks are coming off because Spring is almost here, y’all!

What better way to kick off the season than going for a stroll, smelling the roses, and taking your sweet time to enjoy life.

1. Warners Bay

Yes, friends – there is a life outside of the inner city of Newcastle and part of that mystical space involves an enormous body of water.

What a perfect time in your life to take a drive, take in the scenery, and take a nice long walk around the lake. Why not grab some hot chips whilst you’re there? What a dream come true.

2. The ANZAC Walk

You’ve driven past a bunch of times but have always been a little scared of the hill. It’s just a hill everybody, and since you’re taking a stroll and not exercising, you can go as slow as you want. You reach the top when you reach the top, my friend.

And trust me, the view is totally (totally) worth it.

3. The Fernleigh Track

Everyone is talking about just how buzzing the Fernleigh Track is (or always has been for the regulars who trek there) and what a perfect way to spend a day.

Take the kids, your significant other, whatever you want, as long as you’re out and about enjoying the sunshine, who cares right?

4. Glenrock

Another local staple, if you do it right, Glenrock can be a really magical experience. There are so many different tracks to explore, and you can have faith that at the end of it all, is the big old blue. #winning

5. Honeysuckle Foreshore

When was the last time you ventured right into the Foreshore? C’mon… I believe in you. And if you’re so inclined, there’s nothing stopping you from turning this stroll into a pub crawl. Amirite or amirite?
