Maitland is set to shine this winter with the debut of Luminous, a spectacular new festival celebrating fire, light, and wonder.
The event will transform The Levee Shared Zone in Central Maitland into an immersive, multi-sensory wonderland designed to captivate visitors of all ages.
Coinciding with the winter solstice, Luminous will feature breathtaking light installations, dynamic fire performances, and interactive experiences that highlight the magic of the season.
Attendees can expect a dazzling fusion of artistry and technology, with the festival aiming to create an unforgettable experience that draws people from across the region and beyond.
The festival will also offer a variety of attractions, including a fireworks display over the Hunter River on Saturday evening, pop-up bars, and a diverse selection of food trucks lining the Shared Zone.
Themed spaces such as a speakeasy-style bar and a fire cooking station will add to the festival’s vibrant atmosphere, ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Beyond its entertainment value, Luminous is set to provide a significant boost to the local economy, supporting businesses and reinforcing Maitland’s growing reputation as a hub for arts, culture, and events.
