This Saturday, 23 June, Darby Street will host Winter Live: Unplugged A Day indoors on Darby.
This is a day of Music, Art, Fashion, Food and drinks along Darby Street and we’ve got the lowdown on 5 acts on the bill you just can not miss.
We’ve watched as 17-year-old singer/songwriter Yasmin Ling has evolved into one of the most interesting and talented artists in the city. Catch her set at Too Cool For School from 2:45 pm.
If you love local music and you haven’t heard Adam play, then you’ve got no excuse to miss this set at Winter Live: Unplugged A Day indoors on Darby. Following a relentless international touring schedule the past few years which has seen him perform in the USA, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Poland, Japan, & Australia, Adam Miller releases his new album THE DEFINING OF SUCCESS in March 2018. Catch his set at 4 pm in the Jean Bas laneway.
Trueman Smith first caught our eye at a uni band comp where he played his original folk-rock musical. We think that says all you need to know about this talented and intriguing singer/songwriter. His original material is thoughtful and relatable, and his live performances a like a giant hug. You can see Truman play just after 7 pm at The Hop Factory.
Yev is the frontman of one of our favourite local bands, dave. His songs are just so bloody catchy and the lyrics make you want to hug either Yev or the person standing closest to you. Watching Yev play live is like being at your mate’s place when they pick up a guitar. He plays Beach Barito after 7pm.
Jones’ has collaborated with many artists & producers over the years and has now embarked on her solo career. Her voice is something you just gotta hear for yourself. You can catch two sets from this must-see artist at 5 Sawyers.
