The good folk at voco Kirkton Park Hunter Valley have been busy tempting the tastebuds of Hunter gourmands with its Long Lunch series and the next cab off the rank promises to be another event to remember.
This time around it will ve a Dejeuner en Blanc or “lunch in white” and it will be Leogate Estate’s turn to provide the vino that will be paired with a sumptuous three-course banquet.
Given that the theme is ‘white’ you can expect to sample a range of Leogate’s Chardonnay, Semillon, and Verdelho.
Visitors are also encouraged to don their best white threads to add an extra air of elegance to the day.
There will be live entertainment while reveling in Spring’s own unique charm and beauty as guests enjoy a range of delicious wines and sumptuous platters laden with the very best local fare.
The menus will be based on a banquet-style, shared platter philosophy and built around seasonal produce sourced from both the voco Kirkton Park estate and kitchen garden; as well as from local producers by the hotel’s new chef, Prabhat Kumar Prawin.
“Our vegetable garden is a vital part of our paddock-to-plate philosophy, as are our onsite beehives which produce honey for us. It’s our aim to be producing 80% of our vegetables grown on site in the very near future,” voco kirkton Park general manager Penny Crossley said.
“The Long Lunches will enable guests to experience that.”
The Dejeuner en Blanc Long Lunch will be on at voco Kirkton Park Hunter Valley on Saturday 28 September.
