When the days start getting warmer it’s time to go on the hunt for margaritas in Newcastle.
Whether you’re a fan of the classic lime or you prefer your zesty boys with a bit of a flavour twist, Newcastle bars are pumping out some of the best margs around.
Below you’ll find just some of our favourites.

If there’s a better location to sip on an icy cold margarita in Newcastle we’re yet to see it. And the Beach Hotel in Merewether are serving up their Margys for just $12 during a happy hour which runs Monday to Friday, 4 to 6 pm.
THE EDWARDS
WHERE: 148 Parry St, Newcastle West
HOW MUCH: $14 during Friday happy hour

Every Friday from 5 pm until 8 pm you can grab yourself one of their zesty margs for just $14 and chill out to the sounds of Rudderless Records DJs spinning vinyl vibes.
HONEYSUCKLE HOTEL
WHERE: Lee Wharf C, Lot 31 Honeysuckle Dr
HOW MUCH: $10 during their Marg Happy Hour
If harbour vibes are more your jam then head to the Honeysuckle Hotel for margaritas with a view. At the moment they’re running a $10 Margarita Happy Hour promotion from 5 pm until 7 pm every Friday, so why stop at one?
ANTOJITOS
WHERE: 11 Steel St, Newcastle West
HOW MUCH: $17.90 all day every day
Lime, tequila, curacao, agave. They keep it simple at Antojitos because they use great ingredients and it’s one of our fav places to kick back with a cheeky marg and a plate of nachos with mates and it rightly deserves a place on this list.
THE FALCON
WHERE: 10 Pacific St, Newcastle
HOW MUCH: $21… but worth it!
We’ve left our favourite until last (seriously, this is our number one spot in town for a Margarita session). The Falcon Findik Margarita is a mix of lime, spiced syrup, Zest triple sec and Batanga Blanco Tequila with a seaweed garnish. Served on ice in a chilli salt-rimmed rocks glass. It’s the best… Trust us.
