Much loved former Lord Mayor of Newcastle, John McNaughton has held a special place in the hearts of locals for the amazing community work he has done over many decades.
The now emeritus Lord Mayor is quite humble about his achievements, laying much of it at the feet of his beautiful wife Margaret. They will celebrate 59 years of marriage next week.
