WHERE ARE THEY NOW: Bob Cook

From an Apprentice at BHP in the ’60s, National Service, becoming filmmaker, and then a role a Newcastle City Councillor – there is not much Bob Cook hasn’t done!

A significant player in the events and remembrances surrounding the BHP Closure in 1999 and part of the Fig Tree debates in 2011, Bob has been in the middle of much of Newcastle’s key historical events.

How did he go from being a fitter and turner to a documentary maker? Newcastle in the Morning caught up with Bob Cook for this week’s Where Are They Now.
