WHAT’S ON LAKE MAC: Your guide to June events in Lake Macquarie

A rainbow of colour, a celebration of art and a stack of great workshops and live performances. It’s all part of the Lake Macquarie event calendar in June.

This month, we continue our partnership with Lake Macquarie council to showcase everything the lake has to offer this month.

Major Events

Dobell Festival

From exhibitions, art workshops to live performances and music, come along and celebrate what is the essence of Sir William Dobell – passion, innovation, and creative excellence.

Lake Mac Open Studios

Local artists and makers will open their studio doors and welcome the general public inside for a behind the scenes look; giving art lovers the chance to meet artists, learn about the creative process and purchase unique artworks to take home.

Float Your Boat

Held over two nights on beautiful Lake Macquarie, spectators line the shores to watch boats in a rainbow of colour cruise past before casting their vote for the People’s Choice Award.

Lake Macquarie Winds

Enjoy an afternoon at Rathmines Theatre and listen to a community concert band.

African Drumming

Free drumming workshop creating rhythms drawn from West Africa.

Australian Haydn Ensemble
